About SmartNet

 

SmartNet is a secure, reliable and inexpensive system to provide automated communication between service providers and customers. It was originally created for the Australian security (manpower) industry.

The purpose of SmartNet is to provide fast and accurate communications between users while substantially reducing control room costs and other administrative overheads.

Various interfaces allow users to communicate with SmartNet using their existing systems, mobile devices, a web browser, or our SMART dispatch, billing, and management system.

Users pay a modest monthly rental which is usually covered by the saving in communications costs alone.

Typical application

 

An operator in an alarm monitoring control room can dispatch a job to a patrol company which forwards the job on to another patrol company which dispatches it to a patrolman's mobile device, all with little or no data entry. As the patrolman's results are entered they are available to all concerned within a few seconds. If the work is being done on behalf of another company they can also follow the progress of the job.

Ways of communicating with SmartNet

 

Sendem

Sendem (www.sendem.com) allows you to send, receive, and monitor jobs using only a web browser.

It is a simplified dispatch system which is suitable for companies of all sizes who do not require billing or advanced reporting. Job details may be exported to Excel for billing or reporting. Sendem rental starts at $120* per month.

 

Smart

SMART (www.skorpion.com.au) is our sophisticated dispatch, billing and management system for medium to large patrol, guard, and service companies. It uses a database server located on your premises or at your data centre and is capable of supporting more than a hundred concurrent users. Smart rental (including upgrades and 24x7 support) starts at $500* per month. Installation charges apply.

 

Alarm Monitoring Interface/SmartNet Client

The SmartNet Client is a Windows version of Sendem which is also designed to integrate with local systems e.g. alarm monitoring systems. Integration means that an alarm monitoring operator can dispatch a job to a patrol company without leaving their monitoring screen. In most cases results are posted back to the monitoring system. SmartNet Client rental starts at $250* per month.

 

EasySend

EasySend is a simple web page which allows users (e.g. tenants) to quickly request a service for a known address. They are notified of progress by SMS and/or email.

Mobile users

Jobs may be dispatched to mobile users via email, SMS, or Mobile Data Terminal (MDT). Mobile email is free of charge and available on most mobile phones. Pricing and functionality of other options depends on your service provider - please contact Skorpion Sales for details.
